Me,me, me, meeeeeeee

As I write my about me page and desperately try to find one decent photo of myself I have discovered that I am the photographer not the subject in our family.  I hate to say that if I got hit by a bus tomorrow that there would be little photographic evidence that I was part of the the family that fill my world.  I just hope that they remember that I was always there taking the photo and letting them shine.

Four weeks before my 40th we delivered Daisy.  Thanks to her we have started a journey that at 40 has been both fantastic and incredibly daunting.   Before Daisy I was still living life as anyone does without dependents, going out to dinner, buying high heels, waxing, spraying and tweezering, staying up late, sleeping in; basically the world revolved around me.

Now it's different, and even though I love, love, love it, I do find it overwhelming at times and will do until I die I suppose.  But amongst all of this I have come to understand I have been on a journey of discovery.  We have over the last 4 years redefined what is important.  We have shifted home to be closer to family and 4 houses in 4 years later we have found the keeper.  In this house I will make a home a garden and a life for us.

This is what this blog is about,  a new definition of success.  Our journey to simplifying our lives but without out going totally native.
